~ I'm so excited to be recording my new album with Jason Hoard producing. Jason joined According to John when he was 19 and we played together for about 7 years. He's become quite the producer over the years and I trust him with my music. Heath Balltzglier is playing bass. Heath joined A2J at the age of 17 after he'd only been playing bass for 3 months and after A2J he went on to play for in the band Fee. Matt Adkins graduated from high school 6 months early at the age of 17 to play in A2J and go on the Aquire the Fire tour. After A2J, he played guitar for Fee for 5 years. Joe Lee is playing drums on the project and is an amazing drummer. So far the process is blowing my expectations out of the water. I will continue to update you guys about the progress, but we are projecting to release this album in September or October!

Faith is Living

~ \"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.\" Over the past 5 years, little by little, I\'ve learned to live my life by faith. ?Andy Stanley defined faith as \"the confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He\'ll do\". ?I\'ve never jumped at the chance to live by faith. God has simply put me in situation after situation where I could either trust Him, or freak out in fear. Not to say that I haven\'t done the latter many times, but when I\'ve chosen to trust Him completely and take a step of faith... He\'s always come through. ?The Bible says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God and that without faith it is impossible to please God.?When my life comes to an end, I want those I leave behind to say of me, \"He was a man who walked by faith, and believed God\".?
Now, speaking of faith, I am about to release my song, \"Faith is Living\" to radio stations everywhere. I have no idea what\'s going to happen, only that this is the next step the Lord is leading me to take, as when I do...the lamp unto my feet will move with me to light the next one.

Honor

~ Something the Lord has put on my heart lately is the subject of honor. ?The first commandment with a promise is "Honor your Father and Mother so that you will live a long life on the earth." I don't know about you, but I want to live a long life. That promise never expired, it's still good today. Honestly, I'm still learning how to honor my parents.
Romans 12:10 says for us to honor one another above yourselves. Have you ever felt dishonored? I sure have. So many times throughout my thirty-something years on this earth I have been dishonored by others, and I know how bad that feels. I want to learn everything I can about how I can honor others. In fact, I want to be apart of building a culture of honor that will inspire a movement. This is a very fresh thing that the Lord has placed on my heart so I am interested in what you can teach me about honor. If you can recommend a great book on honor, or have an inspiring testimony to share please do so. So, here we go! Lord, let your Spirit birth a movement of honor to sweep through the body of Christ!!
